Materials Research Exchange (MRE) 2022 took place on 4th – 5th October 2022, organised and run by Innovate UK KTN and Innovate UK, taking place at the Business Design Centre in London. The event is designed to enable closer collaboration between industry and the materials research and innovation community. The event was filled with insights about what materials research and innovations are taking place to help the UK recover, become more resilient and grow. Several targeted seminars on a range of cutting-edge areas such as materials for Net Zero, including materials for the production, transportation and storage were delivered. Concreet4Change was specially invited as one the UK’s foremost start-ups developing innovative material technology for net-zero. As part of the invitation, Our CEO Sid Pourfalah pitched to investors in the MRE Ecosystem.

The British Association of Reinforcement specially invited Concrete4Change to present it’s technology to fellow industry stakeholders, contributing to the overall seminar theme of reducing the CO2e impact of reinforced concrete. Our CEO Sid Pourfalah was invited to speak at the event. The Seminar focused on exploring development in industry regarding their plans to reduce CO2e impact of reinforced concrete. Concrete4Change’s technology is designed to be integrated with all applications, brining significant emission reduction benefits. A whole ecosystem shift is required to reach net-zero and collaborating with industry will be important in achieving this. We’d like to thank our colleagues at BAR for the hosting the seminar and we look forward to further engagements in future.
